There are so many beautiful paradise destinations around the world, but there’s also a huge difference in how much they cost to visit. Some destinations can easily be reached on a budget, whereas for others, you might have to save up for a long time before you visit. If you’re currently dreaming about a tropical beach paradise, this article might be something for you.
Balance your lifestyle when traveling
Traveling in different styles, such as living cheaply for a couple of nights, to afford a better hotel for the next, is a way of balancing your needs and money. Consider booking the whole trip yourself, so you might be able to find cheap hotels as well as flights. Treat yourself to a nice hotel for some nights, take your fancy pants on and lux it out for a minute. If you want to bring a nice set of clothes for those nights, you might want to learn more about flannel clothes here. It’s another way of appreciating having luxury, instead of having it all the time.
Don’t travel in the high season
If you have your eyes on a more expensive paradise destination in the world, consider booking your trip off-season. Places like the Maldives for example can be cheaper if you go before or after high season. This might mean a bit of different weather because of the rainy season, but it does not mean it’s going to rain the whole time. The Rainy season is found in many tropical paradises, but this does not stop people from going.
Where to find these paradises
If Bora Bora and the Maldives are not affordable for you right now, there are luckily many other cheap places to go. You might want to consider visiting Thailand. In the Land of Smiles, you will find about 1400-something islands, each of them unique. The beaches of Thailand are gorgeous with crystal clear waters and swaying palm trees and the best part is, it is still cheap to travel in the country. Go to Phuket, or hit the islands of the Andaman Sea or The Gulf of Thailand.
Asia in general is a cheap continent to travel around and countries like Indonesia and the Philippines have sublime beaches too. Another great option is the clear waters of the Chaweng Beach located in Thailand.
You can also travel to Central America for some serious paradise-beach hunting. Go to Mexico, Costa Rica, Belize, or Panama if this is what you search for.
Go backpacking
Budget traveling as a backpacker is a great way of experiencing the world, but also different than the usual package-deals combinations. Book yourself a flight, stay in hostels or homestays, eat local and travel around with local transport, if you want to save money. You can also find travel agencies that customize budget trips if you find it hard to figure it out yourself. Booking trips is fun for some people, but for others is a massive hassle. Travel agents can also figure out what works out best for you in terms of your budget, and what season to travel and give you lots of tips.
