Los Angeles is truly the city of dreams. A sprawling metropolis of film and entertainment royalty, LA is on many peoples' bucket lists of places to visit. There's no better way to see LA than by going in style and luxury.
When I travelled to LA, I decided to use Los Angeles Limo from Hollywood Towncar And Limousine to transport me in luxury through the city. Here's my experience with this fantastic service and why you should consider using them on any future trip to LA.
Why You Should Visit LA
Visiting LA has always been a big goal of mine, and I knew when I went that I wanted to explore in style. I'm so glad that's what I did, because I really did have the ultimate LA experience. The weather alone was worth it – there's basically no season in LA that is truly cold. The famous sights, places and food were all incredible, and it really does feel like a city with something for everyone.
The beaches that LA County offers are gorgeous and, combined with the beautiful weather, make LA the perfect combination of relaxation and excitement. The nightlife has something for everyone, with cozy speakeasies and vibrant nightclubs alike.
Of course, the fact that it is home to so much of our movie heritage can't be ignored. Going for tours of stars' homes and checking out the Hollywood Walk of Fame were definite highlights from my trip.
Why I Chose Limo Transport
I chose to use limo transportation in LA, in part, because of the extensive history of limos in the city. What better way to travel than by emulating some of Hollywood royalty? Limos are one of the classic luxury methods of travel, and they've changed a lot over the years. They still remain one of the ultimate symbols of class and provide the best comfort for their occupants.
In the past, Limos have been used to transport queens, presidents, movie stars and the best and brightest of society. Today, limos are no longer only available to the super-rich. They're for everyone and can create a lasting memory of your time in LA.
Why I Used Los Angeles Limo
In the end, I chose the limo service that had the widest range of cars, as well as the best experience and safety record I could find. Los Angeles Limo from HTLC really did tick all of my boxes when choosing a limo service.
I always do my research when it comes to choosing transport, whether it's a taxi, airplane or limo. It's vital to my peace of mind that I get where I need to go safely and quickly, with drivers I can trust. The reviews I found for LA Limo were enough to help me make up my mind.
1. Experience
LA Limos had the advantage of extensive experience in showing newcomers around the city. They know the places you want to see and how to get there quickly, even in LA traffic. They also know the more niche places that only a local resident could know. I didn't have to worry about finding my way to places because I had someone there to help me every step of the way.
2. Safety
Safety was one of the key considerations for me when choosing a limo service. I knew that I wanted to have a hassle-free experience, with the peace of mind that I'd be in the best possible hands. All of the cars in Los Angeles Limo's fleet are well maintained and checked regularly for any issues. This was an important deciding factor for me, as you hear some horror stories about the less diligent car and limo services.
3. Find Out About The City From Your Chauffeur
Something I always love about visiting new places is finding out the best things to do and explore from the local residents. LA Limo made this super easy with their friendly and helpful chauffeurs. From new and exciting places to eat to lesser-known beaches, my chauffeur had the knowledge I needed to get the most out of the trip.
4. Stress-Free Transport
Los Angeles Limo had all of the services I could possibly need for my trip – from airport pick-up and drop-off to sightseeing tours, and even trips out of the city limits. I would generally consider renting a car when exploring a new city. Still, I knew that I'd get so much more out of my overall experience if I didn't have to worry about parking, valet services and navigating LA traffic.
In my experience, there's nothing quite as luxurious as telling someone where you want to go, then reclining in comfortable seats while your chauffeur gets you there quickly and safely.
5. Range Of Cars
The range of LA Limo's fleet is truly impressive. There's something for everyone in their fleet. Whether you're on a family vacation or a solo trip, they will be able to accommodate your group size.
LA Limo has a range of SUVs, Sedans and specialty vehicles, all of which are top-of-the-range and shined to perfection.
6. See The Sights In Style
Visiting the Sunset Strip while being chauffeured in my limo has got to be one of the highlights of the entire trip. Being driven around really gave me the best chance to truly appreciate the sights – and not have to worry about driving a rental car in LA traffic!
Riding around in a limo gives you that great feeling that comes when people stop and stare as you pass. In those moments, you could truly be a famous movie star on your way to a premiere or gala. It really cements the experience in your mind and is unlike any other.
How I Spent My Time In LA
I really had the best time in LA. While I did my fair share of exploring and generally soaking in the LA vibe, I also had a big list of places and things I wanted to visit and do. None of the experiences on my list disappointed me at all. In fact, the only thing that disappointed me was that I couldn't spend more time at each of them!
Here are a few of my absolute highlights of visiting Los Angeles:
1. Palos Verdes Peninsula
This one was truly spectacular and an absolute must for any first-time visitor to Los Angeles. Driving along the coastline in the back of a limo, with nothing but blue skies, open road and sparkling ocean for miles, is truly unforgettable. For this trip, I was in LA Limo's luxury sedan, so I was able to kick back with the windows down and my favorite LA playlist playing on the top-of-the-range audio system.
2. Griffith Park
One of the largest municipal parks in the US, this park has everything you could want for a fun, cultural experience. Stunning wildlife, a zoo, a theatre and of course, a gorgeous view of Los Angeles from above all make this a must-visit for visitors to LA. I knew I wanted to go to Griffith Park before anything else when I travelled to LA. Still, I was a little concerned about navigating the roads and traffic getting there. I'm so glad I chose to take a limo service there, as it made the entire experience of getting to and from the park so comfortable and relaxing.
3. The Hollywood Walk Of Fame
The legendary Walk of Fame in LA is known across the globe. I was so excited to visit the stars of all of my favorite entertainers, and it certainly lived up to the hype! I was able to see my favorite stars, spanning decades, in this unique piece of entertainment history.
4. Karaoke At Break Room 86
Karaoke may not be for everyone, but the experience at this bar is definitely not one to miss. Completely '80s themed and full of nostalgia, this bar has themed nights and retro video games that I loved. Getting there and back was no problem with LA Limo, and I was able to do my makeup on the journey there, thanks to the vanity in the back of their luxury sedan. There was no worrying about calling a cab to take me home after a couple of delicious cocktails, as my driver was right there when I needed him.
5. The Hollywood Sign
I was really keen to get that perfect Insta shot of the Hollywood sign while I was in LA. I knew that it was illegal to get too close to the sign, so I wasn't sure how exactly I would get there. Fortunately, my chauffeur knew precisely what I wanted and was able to take me to a few different spots to check out the sign in all its glory – and get that perfect pic!
6. The Sunset Strip
The Sunset Strip is one of the most iconic and well-recognized areas of LA. Populated with a number of world-famous bars, restaurants and venues, I was so excited to be visiting this hallowed ground. I requested a few passes up and down Sunset Boulevard just to soak up the atmosphere, and my chauffeur was more than happy to indulge me.
I went to experience some live music in the Viper Club, a longtime dream of mine. It was one of the most quintessential Los Angeles experiences I had while in LA, and I can't recommend it enough.
7. Universal Studios
Universal Studios is a must-visit for anyone keen to learn about the inner workings of a real TV and film production studio. There's also the Wizarding World Of Harry Potter, which is essential for any Harry Potter fan!
And that's not even mentioning the rides! If you're a bit of a thrill-seeker, then you can do no better than visiting Universal Studios. They have rollercoasters for all ages and tastes, as well as entertainment, fantastic food and great souvenirs. I can't wait to get back there again on my next trip!
8. Malibu Lagoon State Beach
This beach, combined with the gorgeous LA weather, was everything I wanted in a sunbathing spot. I spent the best part of a day at this beach, soaking in the beach vibe and local color. This is a top-rated beach for surfers, so I spent a good portion of my time there people-watching and enjoying the experience.
9. TLC Chinese Theatre
Not far from the Hollywood Walk of Fame is the famous TLC Chinese Theatre. Known for hosting significant events like blockbuster movie premieres, this theatre is a must-see for its architecture alone. I decided to take their VIP tour of the theatre and got to check out the legendary hand and footprints in cement of some of my favorite stars. I even got to see how my hands matched up in size to some of the Titans of Hollywood! This is really an essential thing to visit for anyone interested in Hollywood and its history in film.
10. Sampling The Taco Trucks
Taco trucks seem to be a quintessential part of Los Angeles life. According to my chauffeur, everyone has vastly differing opinions on which is the best. That's why I decided that I had to try as many as I could while I was there.
Honestly, I didn't find any that I didn't like! They come in all sorts of varieties, so mostly it's down to personal preference, but I really enjoyed exploring the city and searching for my ultimate favorite taco truck. This also helped me really experience LA's vibe and city culture, and I got to meet some of the kindest and most helpful residents of the city.
Final Thoughts
My trip to LA was a huge success. I made memories there that will stay with me forever, and this was in no small part thanks to my experience with LA Limo and HTCL. When you get the chance to go to the City of Dreams, travelling in a limo around the sun-soaked streets, taking in the sights from your air-conditioned luxury car is an unbeatable experience.
If you decide to go to LA, I would also recommend making it an extended trip. There's so much to do in LA that I'm already starting to plan my next getaway there, to do all the things I couldn't do during this trip.
