Paris

Paris is known as one of the most romantic cities in the world. It’s a perfect vacation spot for newlyweds or those looking to rekindle their love. There are hundreds of history and art museums spread across the city. Visitors must make it a priority to visit the Louvre while vacationing in Paris. 

You’ll find priceless exhibits and rare pieces of artwork lining the walls of the Louvre. The Venus de Milo is one of the most iconic pieces of art inside the Louvre. The sculpture was modeled after the Greek goddess Aphrodite. Experts believe the sculpture was created around 100 BC. The incredible marble statue was created to honor Aphrodite herself. The sculpture became lost over time. When it was rediscovered, her two arms were missing. Historians decided to leave the Venus de Milo as is, instead of trying to repair her.

Visitors can also find museums dedicated to newer pieces of art. It’s important to map out and plan your visit to Paris before arriving in the city. 

Moscow

Moscow has some incredible sights to offer. One of the most iconic locations in Moscow is the St. Basil’s Cathedral. The church is located in Moscow’s famed Red Square and was commissioned by Ivan the Terrible in the 16th century. Historians say the ruler had the architect blinded after the project so he would never be able to create something as beautiful again. 

In addition to the Red Square, visitors to Moscow should explore the Bolshoi Theatre, witness a showing of the Moscow ballet, and visit Lenin’s tomb. 

Canada and the United States

There are plenty of naturally gorgeous landmarks across both Canada and the United States. It’s a perfect vacation for those who consider themselves as outdoor enthusiasts. Travel to Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada to find crystal-clear lakes and picturesque mountains. 

You can then travel south to the United States, driving through Yosemite National Park. The park lies in Northern California and is home to thousands of giant Redwood trees.  These trees grow near the Sierra Nevada mountains and they are breathtakingly beautiful. You’ll only find Redwood trees in the Pacific Northwest.

Once you finish there, you can travel to Arizona to walk and hike through the Grand Canyon. You can book tours with guides who will walk through the entire canyon itself. Visitors have described the experience as “once in a lifetime.” Both Canada and the United States also have beautiful beaches lining both Atlantic and Pacific coasts.

Iceland

Don’t associate the name with the country. Iceland is not completely covered in ice. In fact, an area of the country features lush green forests and beautiful waterfalls.

Visitors always go out of their way to visit Iceland’s Blue Lagoon. The water here is a rich, piercing shade of blue. Scientists say the water gets the hue from silica. The nutrient-rich water is also great for your skin, too. Visitors can schedule trips to spas to experience the water first-hand. 

Iceland is also the most volcanically-active country in the world. You can tour volcanoes while learning more about how they are activated and powered. Just don’t get too close to the edge.

China

China is one of the most unique locations on our list. Because the country is so large, there are hundreds of places to travel to and many different regions to experience distinctive cultures. 

The Great Wall of China is a must-see location on any travel list. The wall was built around 221 BC as a way to protect locals from outside invaders. The wall spans more than 5,000 miles, reaching from the mountains to the ocean. Astronauts can even see the wall from space. Personalized tour guides will give you a look inside the wall, allowing access to the “Terracotta Army.” Here, more than 8,000 terracotta soldiers stand ready for action. 

Once you’ve completed your tour of the Great Wall, travel to Beijing to immerse yourself in the Chinese culture. You can tour Tiananmen Square and relive the area’s history. Beijing is also home to the Forbidden City, a former palace that was home to several dynasties.
