Get away to the new expanded Pechanga Resort Casino

If you’re in southern California and you’re looking for a little “Staycation”, look no further than Pechanga Resort Casino. It recently underwent a $300 million resort expansion! We’re talking real luxury in Southern California with a 4.5-acre pool Complex, new restaurants, an extravagant spa and more! I attended Pechanga’s Friends and Family Event where I was able to sample a little of everything Pechanga Resort Casino has to offer.
Taste of Pechanga
Upon arrival there was a “Taste of Pechanga” event featuring foods from among Pechanga’s 13 restaurants plus wine from Callaway Wines. This was fantastic because I was able to get an idea of what was in store for weekend,

The Cove
I spent a lot of time at The Cove (4.5 acres) which has three pools, including a zero-edge Main Pool that features a lively swim-up bar, five spas, and a Family Pool with two waterslides and a splash pad. I also attended a super fun and informative Cinco de Mayo mixology event.
Spa & Fitness Center
Pechanga Resort Casino also just opened its brand new, 25,000 square foot spa facility. It has three signature suites overlooking the mountains, large and luxurious treatment rooms, a private, outdoor spa, pool and grotto and luxurious wellness patios. In the spa you’ll find eucalyptus steam rooms, https://www.globosurfer.com/best-infrared-saunas/, whirlpools and a 24-hour fitness facility with group fitness classes.
Many of the incredible spa services are Native American-inspired. They incorporate natural Native healing botanicals proven to be effective though by Native peoples through thousands of years. I enjoyed an 80-minute Acorn & Walnut Renewal with 25 minutes of Rosemary Foot Reflexology. This nourishing and skin-refining treatment features the essence of native white sage, acorn and walnut and leaves skin silky smooth and revitalized. Once the skin has been renewed, there’s a custom pressure massage that restores energy and balance throughout the body. A thumbing technique stimulates specific points on the feet to release blockages and balance energy channels.
There was also an Aromatherapy Bar hosted by Spa at Pechanga. Yes, you can make your own Body Bliss skincare products at Pechanga Casino Resort Casino Spa! I used an app to create an aromatherapy blend based on my birth year – a beautiful lemon, rosemary, ylang ylang body oil that I can’t get enough of!
Lobby Bar & Grill
There are so many great restaurants at Pechanga. I had the pleasure of having dinner at The Lobby Bar & Grill. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and it’s “fresh American and fusion fare with Mexican and Asian inspirations” with unexpected flavors and locally grown ingredients. I had a velvety smooth butternut squash soup and lovely Seared Scallops with Brussels Sprout Parmesan Puree, Wild Mushrooms, Apple Cider Braised Baby Fennel.
Journey at Pechanga
When you stay at Pechanga Casino resort, there are so many activities to enjoy including golf at Journeys. You’ll also enjoy a 62,000-square foot Clubhouse and beautiful greens (is that the right term?)! It was my first time at the driving range. I had a blast! Afterward, we enjoyed a beautiful brunch at Journey’s End overlooking the golf course which is one of the best golf courses in the world if you ask me.
Local Attractions
A trip to Temecula isn’t complete without a hot air balloon ride. It has always been on my bucket list. It was completely amazing, peaceful and blissful and the scenery is unparalleled.

All in all, I had an amazing Staycation at Pechanga Resort Casino. It’s relative close at about 1.5 hours away from Los Angeles. it’s luxurious and a great alternative to both Palm Springs and Las Vegas.
