Black Opal
The spring and summer season means more time in the sun so as my skin tone becomes richer, I usually switch up my foundations and concealers to match. I recently rediscovered Black Opal which was founded over 20 years ago with the mission to create skincare and makeup products specifically for women of color. There are a wide range of concealers (3 options in up to 7 shades per formula) and foundations (six options in up to 14 shades per formula) with a wide range of shades suitable to many women of color. They are also great for beauties on a budget, so if you haven't tried Black Opal in a while, I suggest giving them another go! My favorites are the Flawless Perfecting Concealer and the Black Opal True Color Pore Perfecting Foundation – both go on smoothly, match perfectly and unlike many drugstore foundations, they don't cause my face to break out.
