Take great selfies and close-up pictures
By Carla Snuggs
Selfies (pictures taken of you by you) are everywhere. In fact, the word "Selfie" is now Oxford official. However, taking a great selfie with your phone, tablet or camera can be a challenge. If you’re like me and you haven’t mastered the art of the selfie, have no fear: Posh Beauty Blog has sourced Master eye lash guru, and owner of Lash House, Suzette Zuena* for expert tips for getting the best close up pictures around.
Here are Suzette's tips for taking a perfect selfie:
“To look your best for close-up pictures or an unexpected selfie, remember: Angle angle angle!” says Suzette. Hold your arm up high and look up to the camera so it ensures no double chin. Make sure you have light shining around your face by facing toward the light. This will brighten your complex. Also, face the wind, so your hair blows away from your face, suggests Suzette.
Quick makeup tips for the perfect selfie:
TIP 1: Make sure you contour your cheeks with something soft and bronze to help give you a sunkissed look. Contour is important because it helps to thin your face—giving the illusion of high cheekbones.
TIP 2: Glam Glow has a product called "Brightmud" which plumps under your eye creating an illusion and takes away dark circles! It's awesome!
TIP 3: Using a primer before applying any kind of makeup acts like a "filler," so the foundation/tinted moisturizer lays on top of the primer and not in your creases.
Tip 4: Adding false lashes is a way to open your eyes and takes years off of your face. It also looks like you put a little eyeliner on, too.
Tip 5: Consider lash extensions, for an easy makeup-free summer. Also, tinting your lashes before lash extensions ensures a fuller look because you are darkening all the new baby lashes that cannot and should not be extended.
