Wine makeup mood board to inspire your creativity
One of fall and winter’s hottest colors is wine, maroon or burgundy. In fact, wine is the new black for the upcoming season. We’re seeing wine and deep burgundy in everything from makeup, to fashion and accessories. Autumn runway collections by designers Diane von Furstenberg and Elie Saab, just to name a few, included gorgeous maroon hues. On the fall and winter runways, we enjoyed the vibrant, wine-stained lips in the Lanvin, Vera Wang, Prada and Christian Dior shows.
When it comes to fall and winter makeup trends, intense, deep wine and berry shades are trend-right and look great when paired with selective matte skin. This means that the skin is matte along the t-zone with selective highlighting on the cheekbones. Intense, three-dimensional burgundy manicures are very on-trend for the holidays, as is a bold burgundy smoky eye with pale pink lips.
