2021 has been a mixed bag of a year. While we didn’t all stay at home like the year before, COVID restrictions have continued, meaning a lot of us didn’t get out as much as possible. But there is hope for 2022 to be a great year, and so, why not make some resolutions to make the most of it? If you’re looking forward to the year ahead, here are some suggestions to make it a good one.
Take up a new sport or hobby
Lots of us plan to take up a new hobby, only to forget about it because we’re too busy, but a new hobby can stimulate your mind and keep you happy. You don’t necessarily need to spend a lot to start a hobby, but over time, you may want to buy equipment to make life easier. Those who play golf will often invest in a second-hand golf cart with UGO, and buy things like their own clubs and clothing, but you can of course hire them if you prefer. Think about hobbies you’ve been considering taking up for a while and start doing some research.
2. Improve your skincare routine
Another resolution a lot of us make is to pay more attention to self-care, but that’s unfortunately one that gets broken quickly. Focus on one thing at a time such as building a great skincare routine, as once you get used to doing this, it becomes a habit like brushing your teeth. There are lots of tips online for how to get glowing skin, and you don’t necessarily need a lot of expensive products. But it is important to do these routines daily for the best results.
3. Do 10k steps a day
Not quite ready to commit to a gym membership? Why not set yourself a challenge such as hitting 10k steps a day? There are lots of advantages to this:
It doesn’t take a long time – 10k steps take about an hour and a half for most people, but if you split that into smaller sections, you can easily achieve this
It’s free! You don’t need a lot to get started, just some comfy shoes, and most phones have step counters, so you don’t need an expensive fitness watch
Walking is great for mental health too
You can explore your local area
To get started, simply get your trainers on and get exploring.
4. Look into travelling
Travel has been difficult for the last couple of years, but many countries are now looking to get tourists back through their borders. Check out the official Thailand tourist site, or organisations in the country you’re travelling to, as they will give you up to date advice on the paperwork you’ll need to complete.
Why not resolve to make 2022 a great year? The world is opening up again, so now might be a good time to do all the things you dreamed about during lockdown. New year’s resolutions don’t have to be life-changing, they simply need to reflect what you want to do in life.
