BetterMe: Health Coaching is excited to announce the launch of Prenatal Yoga workouts.
The Prenatal Yoga program is tailored to the needs and wishes of expectant mothers. It’s designed to help pregnant women build mental and physical strength over the course of all three trimesters.
Together with experienced trainers, BetterMe developed 6 workout programs that range in length (20-30 min) and intensity (newbie to medium). Each workout includes restorative, safe, and easy-to-repeat yoga asanas like cat-cow pose, puppy pose, butterfly pose, etc.
The World Health Organization stated that urban green spaces are crucial for delivering health and sustainability, especially for people living in big cities. To give mothers-to-be a feeling of relaxation, we decided to film workouts in a park. Natural green background tends to set up a special mood and atmosphere.
What are the benefits of prenatal yoga?
Reduce stress, anxiety, and risk of depression: а recent 2019 study claims that prenatal yoga can help pregnant women ward off depression, ease stress, and cultivate a stronger connection with their unborn baby.
Improve sleep
Boost pain tolerance in time for labor: а 2018 randomized controlled trial shows that women who regularly do yoga have a higher chance of feeling less pain during childbirth, plus a higher possibility of improved birth outcomes.
Improve breathing: this 2011 study claims that yoga promotes and improves respiratory and cardiovascular function.
Manage your weight: like all physical activity, yoga keeps you active, which helps you to better manage your prenatal weight gain.
"We are developing tools for users to discover new ways to keep active at every stage of the lifetime health journey. It’s a slow but sure journey of creating happiness within", said Victoria Repa, Founder, and CEO of BetterMe.
