Tips to help fix oily skin and dry hair
By Carla Snuggs
How is your skin and hair is holding up in the heat of summer! It’s all about shiny hair, not a shiny face. Which one are you going for?
Problem: Oily Skin
To solve the issue of oily skin, Posh Beauty Blog has a few fixes. First, Zara Mohsin, Skincare expert at NYC’s chic Wink Brow Bar provides instructions for removing blackheads. Second, turn to Finnish powerhouse Lumene for great ways to control that shine.
Here are Zara’s tips:
Most of the time the nose can be the oiliest area of the face and overproduction of oils causes blackheads. As you begin to remove the blackheads you can have a deteriorating effect and you get more and more the more you incorrectly remove them or pick at them. This is why it is essential to do it the right way.
1. NEVER squeeze and remove the blackhead yourself. This will make the pores bigger and you will get more over time.
2. Once you have a blackhead free nose maintenance is key. Take a wet hot towel and put it on your nose for a couple of minutes. Alternatively try to do it after a shower.
3. Take the side of a metal tweezer and run it against the sides of your nose, being very careful not to push down too hard or poke yourself. Do this as a routine so that the blackheads do not form!
4. Always use a toner on top to tighten the pores and voila!
