1. Choosing the Dyeing Method:

Steps Involved in Tie Dye Clothing:

1. Tie Dye Kit:

The kit which holds the accessories and dye’s which helps in producing an impressive Tie Dye Cloth. The basic supplies of any Tie Dye Kit should include the followings,

  • Pair of gloves - Always use rubber gloves, to avoid your hand from staining.

  • Minimum of Four Dyeing Color - To have multiple and attractive colors over your clothes.

  • Buckets or Containers - This helps in mixing the color dyes, using separate containers for every color.

  • Squeeze Bottles - To squeeze out the dye mixture to stain the fabrics.

  • Rubber Band & Strings - This helps to tie the fabric

  • Plastic Covers - To place the Fabrics after they have been stained for drying.

  • Ziplocks - To be used to close and open the plastic covers.

  • Clothes on which we will be dyeing - Called as Fabric in which you have to dye and dry them to make them colorful.

2. Prepare Tie and Fabrics:

It is always necessary to mix the Dye as per the instruction by the manual provided in every pax. Always use containers to mix the dye and use them over the fabric later.

At the same time, you should prepare the fabrics (Clothes) for sure. Pre-washing fabrics can remove the stains and strach over them. It can help in removing the unwanted chemicals present over the fabrics that may prevent fabrics from absorbing dyes.

3. Tie the Fabrics:

Before that, please prepare your surroundings ready for dyeing. The next step is to prepare for Tie Dye Pattern by fabrics being tied. Make it so simple and tie the fabric by the design of the pattern.

Then stain the fabrics with the respective dye on the selected area as per the pattern.

4. Immerse in Dye:

Take the tied fabrics and immerse them into the containers containing dye. Leave the fabric in the container till it absorbs the intensity. It is advised to mix the packet of dye and amount of water to use as mentioned in the instruction checklists.

For better experience to stain the fabrics, use squeeze bottles to fill dye. The squeeze bottles help in filling the level of intensity which we look for. This helps us in producing a customized coloring over the fabric

5. Rinse the Fabrics:

Once the dying process is completed over the fabrics. You should then rinse them in cold water. Followed by rinse, you should swirl the fabric cloths to dry out the water

6. Dry Them:

Use the plastic cover to wrap up the stained fabric. Check the instructions on the time period estimated to dry them inside the plastic cover.

Followed by, wash the clothes again once the dye is impressed over, finally dry them with the help of an ironing machine to make your DIY Tie Dye Clothing.
