3 Hot Trends in Barbering

The latest trends in barbering
By Carla Snuggs

Barbering is not just about helping you look good, it’s also about creating a personal style that makes you feel amazing and sets you apart from others. Barbers shops were an extremely important part of the community in the past and now the barbershops are hotter than ever. The industry is experiencing a renewed energy it has lacked over the last three decades with the rise of new lifestyle and style trends. Here some reasons barbershops are all the rage.

Barbershops are Becoming a Cornerstone of the Community Again

Barbershop are now becoming a more prominent part of socializing, as more and more barbershops are upgrading their shops to include a lounge, man-cave atmosphere, offering craft beer and comfy recliners. It's a wonderful respite - a place to turn off the gadgets, meet and make new friends and catch up with others in the community.

Beards, Mustaches and Trendy Haircuts

Another reason that barbing is hot right now is the return of tight fades with a styled top and neat cuts that require a regular visit to the barber shop. You may not be familiar be football, but you must know Aaron Ramsey, the Arsenal Football Club player. He’s wearing what I’ll refer to as the classic short cut. This is an Ivy League trend which is either smoothened at the top or with a textured layer. Twilight star, Robert Pattinson is also adorning the classic short cut. The popularity of beards and mustaches are also huge and keeping them well-groomed is a must. For this, you’ll need a very skilled barber.

Full Service Grooming

Today men are spending more time on self-care. More and more barbers, like award winning barber Trevor McClintock, are offering full grooming beyond just a shave and a haircut to provide the ultimate barber shop experience. This includes a wide range of services like hair coloring services, skincare services and hair removal. Men want to feel pampered from time to time, too!

In short, the latest barbering trends require a skillful use of the clipper and shaving equipment only available at the barber's shop. There are so many artful haircuts that are trend-right, like messy textured styling, long fringes, spiky haircuts and natural flow styles. And these haircuts are not DIY. However, barbering trends are always changing, and that’s the beauty of it all. In few months’ time, we’ll be talking about something new. It doesn’t matter if you have wavy hair, thick hair, straight hair or curly hair, your barber will find the right cut for you.
