Sarees know how to walk their way into a woman’s wardrobe. They are certainly the most preferable type of clothing by Indian women making up as much as 30% of the total textile industry. 5. Sambalpuri Saree

This is a unique kind of saree that features a dyed thread that is handwoven delicately. The dye gives the weave a shiny and radiant color that cannot fade.

6. Bomkai Saree

Originating from Odisha, the bomkai Saree, also known as the Sonepuri silk, is a fine work of art. It is made up of ikat, expensive embroidery, and intricate thread work. It is found in both silk and cotton variety

7. Muga Silk Saree

The Muga Silk Saree originates from Assam. It is made by the unique quality of silk obtained from the larvae of silkworm Antheraea assamensis which is only found in Assam. The silk given off has a very bright and durable texture

It goes without saying that what determines the cost of the saree is primarily the materials that go into its making. The embroidery involved, type of thread, and craftsmanship have also been shown to contribute to the expensive cost of some sarees.
