How to wear Pantone’s Color of the Year- Radiant Orchid
By Carla Snuggs

Radiant Orchid is Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2014 and I am loving it! When it comes to fashion, I tend to wear a lot of neutrals but love to add pops of vibrant color, so Radiant orchid is exciting for me. But I want to be sure to wear this stunning color in a way that is, well…Posh!

                                        Style Expert, Lori Riviere

Posh Beauty Blog tapped Style Expert Lori Riviere, for tips for wearing this energetic color without overdoing it. Read on for Lori’s tips for styling your wardroble with Pantone’s Color of the Year, Radiant Orchid:

The Color Gods have spoken and Radiant Orchid is forecasted to be all the rage for 2014, but striking the right balance is key or you run the risk of channeling Punky Brewster, or worse yet, that lovable 90's dinosaur Barney. Follow these 3 tips to wear the color of the season and not let it wear you:

Neutralize it With Nudes

Wear separates with one pop of Orchid and keep the rest neutral and nude. Think Orchid pencil skirt, crisp white blouse and nude pumps. By pairing your pop of color with neutral hues you keep the color from outshining you.

Carry Your Color

Instead of trying to incorporate purple hues into your clothing pieces, try using a handbag to sport the trend. What better way to sport a splash of color, than with your handbag and this leather lovely from Hayden Harnett has a simple silhouette and neutral hue that will work with wardrobe staples (HaydenHarnett.com $248)

Keep things Polished

2014's color of the year makes the perfect manicure partner because there are endless shades of purple so finding one that will compliment your skin tone should be easy. I love the Butter London Nail Lacquer in Molly Coddled because it is universally flattering at (ButterLondon.com $15.00)
